About Me
- Angie
- I started this blog to keep track of my kitchen creations. I love cooking and eating. In 2008 I was diagnosed with RA. Food started becoming a huge problem. I needed to find a better way to eat the flavors I love. All the recipes I create are driven by my desire to eat good food that won't create extra pain and inflammation in my internal ecosystem. While the recipes are wholesome, the language is not. I swear. I use the word 'fuck'. A lot! I make no apologies for that. It's just a fair warning. I'm raw and real. Happy cooking! Even happier eating! Cheers! Angie

BERRY GOOD SPROOZIE Smoothie **Green Monster**
I know......corny name. I just got done with a run and a milk-based smoothie didn't sound refreshing so I used sparkling water instead. I also didn't have to worry about watching the blender too carefully because this won't thicken like milk-based mixes do. Enjoy!
2 cups of flavored sparkling water (I used mixed-berry)
1 cup of berries (any kind)
1 tablespoon spirulina (optional if you want to make a Green Monster (Green Monster is a trade mark of http://ohsheglows.com/ so check it out!)
Blend everthing together, pour and enjoy!

CINNAMON SPICE SLUSH Smoothie
I bought some fresh peaches at the market last Saturday and decided to throw them in a smoothie. I made it very simple to keep the sweetness of the peaches.
1 cup of hemp milk or almond milk
1 small banana
1 & 1/2-2 fresh peaches (use the skin too!)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (or more to taste
6-12 ice cubes
Get the milk spinning on a medium speed. Add the banana and peaches and cinnimon. Turn theblender up to an ice-chopping speed and add the ice one cube at a time. Watch out for brain freeze!
