About Me

I started this blog to keep track of my kitchen creations. I love cooking and eating. In 2008 I was diagnosed with RA. Food started becoming a huge problem. I needed to find a better way to eat the flavors I love. All the recipes I create are driven by my desire to eat good food that won't create extra pain and inflammation in my internal ecosystem. While the recipes are wholesome, the language is not. I swear. I use the word 'fuck'. A lot! I make no apologies for that. It's just a fair warning. I'm raw and real. Happy cooking! Even happier eating! Cheers! Angie

CINNAMON SPICE SLUSH Smoothie

I bought some fresh peaches at the market last Saturday and decided to throw them in a smoothie. I made it very simple to keep the sweetness of the peaches.

1 cup of hemp milk or almond milk
1 small banana
1 & 1/2-2 fresh peaches (use the skin too!)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (or more to taste
6-12 ice cubes

Get the milk spinning on a medium speed. Add the banana and peaches and cinnimon. Turn theblender up to an ice-chopping speed and add the ice one cube at a time. Watch out for brain freeze!

RED RED WINE Smoothie

2 Blood Oranges peeled and sectioned
1 Sambazon Acai Smoothie pack broken up
1/2 cup of Raspberries
1/4 cup of Cranberries
6 Strawberries
1 Banana
2 Wheatgrass cubes
OJ or Water to thin as needed

Put Blood Oranges in blender on high and pulverize. While blender is still running, add the rest of the ingredients one at a time blending thoroughly after each addition. If the smoothie is too thich for you, you can add water or OJ until it is the desired consistency.
